Ten Stamp Appraisal

$59.99

Find out what up to 10 stamps are and what they are worth. We look at your photos, write up a formal appraisal for each stamp, and email it to you.

What you get, for every stamp you send:

  • What the stamp is, with its Scott catalogue number. That is the ID number American collectors and dealers use.
  • Other numbers it could be, if there is any doubt about which stamp you have.
  • What condition it is in.
  • How well centered it is. Centering changes what a stamp is worth.
  • The Scott catalogue value, which is the book price.
  • What we think it would really sell for, which is often different from the book price.
  • An offer to buy, if we are in a position to buy. Buying an appraisal does not guarantee we will make an offer.

Photos you will need: a photo of the front and a photo of the back of each stamp, so up to 20 photos in all. Good light, plain background, one stamp per photo. A phone camera is fine. You send the photos after you buy, using a link we email you.

Delivery: 5 business days after we get your photos. This costs less than buying 10 single appraisals.

Only have one or two stamps? The Single Stamp Appraisal is $9.99 per stamp and will cost you less. If you have a whole album or box rather than loose stamps, the Stamp Collection Appraisal is the one you want.

How It Works

1. Purchase the Ten Stamp Appraisal
2. You will be emailed a link to upload images of the front and back of each stamp, up to 10 stamps.
3. Your formal stamp appraisal will be emailed to you within 5 business days.

Returns & Guarantees

Because this is a service, refunds are not allowed once your stamp appraisal has been emailed to you. To cancel a pending order, please email support@westcoaststamps.com

We will do our best to identify and value your stamps based on the photos provided. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in our remote identification, as our evaluation is limited to the quality of the provided photos. All appraisals and estimates are final. If you want to submit additional photos or obtain a second opinion, you must purchase a new appraisal.

Purchase offers: we require a formal appraisal before we purchase a collection or make a purchase offer. Whether the report carries an offer depends on the material and our stock needs, so buying an appraisal does not guarantee a purchase offer. For large or high-value collections we may arrange an in-person inspection or collection, though that is not guaranteed either.
